Velvet Red Tomato

(AKA Angora Super Sweet) 75 days. Indeterminate. Round 1 inch, bright-red cherry tomatoes are produced in clusters. Sweet fruits are perfect for snacking or for adding to salads. The plants exhibit fuzzy blue-green foliage that is super unique. Occasionally a non-fuzzy plant will appear which is a common trait of this variety. Seeds of Velvet Red were sent to Carolyn Male of Latham, New York by Joe Bratka of New Jersey in 1996. The World Tomato Society explains that Joe Bratka seems to have renamed the variety to Angora Super Sweet years later.
