Aunt Molly's Ground Cherry

70 days. Extra sweet ground cherry variety that is highly productive generating ½-¾ inch diameter, golden-honey colored fruits. A papery husk surrounds the circular fruits that grow on plants that exhibit a sprawling growth habit. Is a multipurpose ingredient for making pies, preserves, fresh eating, and for adding to fruit salads. This Polish variety was named after the owners of Territorial Seed’s first business Aunt Molly’s Ice Cream Treats. Was released by Territorial Seed after receiving this variety with no name at the time. Fruits pull off the plant easily when ready for harvest. Great storage variety too!
