This is Gaspe x Morden x Saskatoon White backcrossed to Gaspe in 2022. I am very happy with the health and vigor of these little plants♡☆
In 2020 I planted Gaspe and Morden flint, both obtained from Sherck Seeds, in alternating rows and carefully removed all the Gaspe tassels. This was to ensure that all the seeds on the Gaspe plants had been pollinated by Morden. In 2021 I grew out those seeds and pollinated them with Saskatoon White. In 2022 I grew out the 3 way cross and pollinated the plants with Gaspe, to cross back to the original fountain. Each seed contains genetic material from all three varieties. I am offering up these seeds for anyone like me interested in growing/enjoying these mini flint corns and breeding in a little more genetic diversity.
