Jaltomato repandidentata

Jaltomata repandidentata. Jaltomata is a sister genus to Physalis and grows very similar. Native to central Mexico to Guatemala. I grew these in Northern Michigan where they grew well and were very fruitful. Culinarily, the fruits are similar to very small, purple-black tomatillos.
Flowers are attractive to bumblebees.
Foliage is attractive to tomato horn worms.
Perennial in warmer climates or protect roots in colder climates.
