A fabulous early twentieth century commercial variety that became well admired as a superior canning tomato. Is a good producer that yields round, red, medium-sized fruits that are meaty and packed with flavor. Selected out of Chalk’s Early Jewel by George W. Middleton and introduced by Walter P. Stokes in 1908. Also can be used as a fine slicing tomato.
