Bitter-vetch

Lathyrus linifolius.  From Scotland, historic use of tubers as appetite suppressant and stamina increaser in times of famine or other hardship.  Low-growing dark green legume with deep pink flowers.  Seed offered; needs scarification and soaking.  Not to be confused with the introduced tall wild sweet pea in U.S., Lathyrus latifolius.
