Grandpa's White Wax Tomato

This intriguing white variety yields 3-inch diameter fruits featuring a waxy, smooth skin. Food historian William Woys Weaver discovered this old-fashioned tomato in his grandfather's frozen seed collection years after his death. H. Ralph Weaver had obtained it sometime prior to 1932. He proclaimed the fruits to be one of the sweetest tomato varieties in his collection. Used in county fairs as a display tomato, this variety will remain firm for a week after picking. Can be made into jam due to it’s high brix level. Rare!!
